Community Education & Involvement

Ideathon

ComEd launched its first ever Ideathon in December at the Young Women’s Leadership Charter School in Bronzeville. High school students who live in or attend high school in Bronzeville form teams of up to five students. They partner with college mentors and engineers from ComEd, Silver Spring Networks, Accenture, AECOM, and other technology leaders to develop innovations that have the potential to enhance the ComEd customer experience. Teams advancing to the final round presented their ideas to a panel of judges. Cash prizes of $2.000, $1,000 and $500 were presented to first, second and third place finishers. The Ideathon is part of ComEd’s Community of the Future in Bronzeville. View the Ideathon Flier
