The Bronzeville Microgrid project is underway. Because a microgrid can operate when connected to the larger grid or when not connected to keep local power flowing in times of emergency, it helps deliver reliability, resiliency and security to your area.
Savings for residents. You can take advantage of everything the ComEd® Energy Efficiency Program has to offer – to help you save money and save energy, too.
New opportunities for small businesses. All businesses are eligible for a FREE energy assessment. You’ll identify ways to improve energy efficiency at your business to help your bottom line. Does your business specialize in a trade? Learn how you can become a ComEd Energy Efficiency Trade Ally.
About the Event
Technology exhibits and presentations increased understanding of the community microgrid now under construction. Also on display was a new interactive kiosk from IKE Smart City that will be installed before the end of the year. Attendees enjoyed test rides in the ComEd DASH electrical vehicle and learned about the new off-grid streetlights from ARIS Wind that will be installed at two Bronzeville schools this fall.
Job seekers visited with representatives of ComEd and more than 50 employers to learn about employment, training and internship opportunities.
