THE PILOT: The zero-emission Innova Dash vehicle, with driver, will transport seniors within an area bordered by 35th street to the north, 53rd street on the south and between Cottage Grove Avenue on the east and State Street on the west. The first phase of the pilot includes one vehicle which will be available to residents of the TRC Senior Village at 346 E 53rd Street. Rides cost $3.
THE VEHICLE: The Innova EV Dash is a 100 percent electric vehicle. The car has a range of 150 miles per charge of its lithium-ion battery and a maximum speed of 35 miles per hour. The Dash is an IoT (Internet of Things) connected vehicles with more than 40 built-in sensors that collect data about the car’s performance and ridership statistics.
